3am Recordings boss Al Bradley’s noble countenance only just stops there, when it comes to music and steerage at the label, its another matter altogether. And then goes the story of meeting Noseur- the Germany based duo and setting them up on the dance radar for an EP release titled – ”Ten 33”. The first of which- ”Legion Strut”, Original Mix is a fearless warrior with it’s repetitive rant sample of Star 69 by Fatboy Slim original from back in the day, peeking around an undulating riff, minimalistic drum pattern and an unapologetic Bass line. One breakdown later, it’s a relentless march to the end.
Ukrainian music man Jackie Mayden provides the lone remix for this tune wound tight, sensuously sinewy and the tempo drops a notch, yet there’s enough dust flying around in gritty textured bass heavy resonance. The rest of the body contains fueled up crisp beats and a bulging throb. Suffice to say its an underground beast.
The second offering in the package- ”Tvedu” Original Mix has hi- freq synth stabs, while the vacuum underneath is filled with a comfy textured vocal, cushioning out the beautiful Black space. Add up a rumbling contoured bass shudder to it and well, I don’t know what to make of it as much to say, that I’d dance, I want to dance.
Label lord Al Bradley’s 3am Deep Remix, gets down and busy with the latter tune that’s full of abrasive, angular funk and a hotter than hot superlicious bass line, much too infectious and nasty. It’s my favorite of the entire release, cause it’s got those pads swarming around, injecting enough chemical like cajoling needed to get you on the bloody floor. A charmer on the outside, but beware inside it churns you.
