Aaryon – Fairy Tales EP [Steyoyoke]

Berlin based Deep House label Steyoyoke expands their music fortress by releasing Spaniard Aaryon, through his exciting new project. A slice of emotive and edgy Techno offering which comes from- ”Fairy Tales”. Built on a melody that undulates and drives through a never ending subterranean tunnel, it’s peaks give a lot of drama. There are moments when the tune threatens to run away from itself, but never really does and there’s that steady Bass line with an occasional pressure of heavy kicks, one looks for to stay in and breathe the entire composition up with.
Cut to Israeli cutting edge marksmanship of Ran Salman Remix, the trickery is obvious of the rework. The rearrangements have been dealt with in splendid fashion, slowing the tune down funks his handiwork up. The poignant background is on full display, there’s a shuffling beat and aimed low, darker, more fuming feel all around. The chord is moody, a gruff bass line groans on seductively, and the beauty is the simplicity of his offering that your ears wrap to.
The title tune gets two other slightly altered remixes by way of the Animal Picnic Club Edit and Animal Picnic Remix. The former keeps the chord and melody line in place and dunks it in a deep pool of melancholy while the latter gets clacky and repetitive with its fairly straight Deep House synthetic furrow. Finishing up the package is another original tune titled- ”Chlorine”, which showcases a slightly offbeat hypnotic vibe. Abrupt synth stabs, warm pads keep things going on and all in all quietly melodic. Definitely floor friendly and grabs you by the ears, solid and good for warming up the speakers.
