Blue Amazon – Teaser EP [Pro B Tech Records]

Scottish label Pro B Tech Records, drives the month of July with their latest titled – “Teaser EP” from the legend Blue Amazon, with total dance oriented Techno attitude. This time around Lee Softley’s production imagery gives us three tracks and a DJs tool, with a distinctive chin up feel.
First up “Teaser 1” is probably the biggest tune in the pack. This is a deep, and serious dance cut that will find favor in the toughest of floors, cause of it’s easily identifiable jerky rhythms washed up around off kilter beats. The build up and layering of each element in the track is intelligently placed and screws on enough bounce to give you a nice workout. The melodic pulses and squelch filled interiors flirt shamelessly over ravey punchy bass.
“Teaser 2” follows in the foot steps of the former cut, adding some hurried squalls, dubby stabs that continuously move and morph over the top with gritty synth and a chunky stomping bass line. The overall effect is at once heady and infectiously groovy.
“Dilute The Poison” finishes the EP up and turns out to be my favorite. This track does nothing but pounds your feet to the floor. There’s a squelchy centre line, oodles of drummy goodness that gets hammered and a sizzling low end growl accompanies all the electronic machinery, in a quintessential peak hour stomper, a track that epitomizes over drive.
Blue Amazon’s high class music operation is evident in spades, and we love this one!!
