Ran Salman – Fractured Memories [Steyoyoke Recordings]

Deep House label Steyoyoke comes up with a mellifluous release, from Israeli power house talent Ran Salman with- ”Fractured Memories”, Original Mix. Releasing this September the pack includes two remixes from Soul Button and Patrick Podage respectively. The original mix starts off with the melody chain snaking around and a light clicking, close on the heels is the echoing vocal and it all ends up perfectly in synth with each other. From then on it’s an instant winner with a languid beauty around the musicality, the number is propped by a sturdy beat and I can visualize this one as the perfect getting on with the night gem. The latter bit is smoothly complimented with a peek-a-boo of an organ pad and soon there’s all that driving on up thuddering Bass that makes for a fair bit of progression, which is wonderful and well assembled tunage. Soul Button Remix is instant gratification of high quality grooves, it’s got a straight up face and simple yet in a way gummier, sticky tone and depth to it. The Bass line and melodic chord gets a shinier front and a Techier vibe and there’s enough crackle cum sizzle to get lost in this one… There’s instant love for Swiss Dj Patrick Podage’s take on the original. My word!! The tone of his work is somehow hypnotic at best, the elements are squelched tight and the mid-range riff rolls out in a more Techno roll with the Vocal in wonderful effect. The airy pads evolve in blurry fashion. Great stuff!! 🙂
