Murr feat. Rosina – Dive Into the Deepest (inc. Maceo Plex Remix) [Thoughtless Music]
by Admin January 10, 2014Launching another year of Thoughtlessness, our latest outing features remixes of the sleeper hit from Murr’s 2013 release, Sacred Ground. The low-slung B-side, Dive Into the Deepest, quickly earned accolades and rotation from the likes of Seth Troxler, the Mole, Basic Soul Unit, Nick Holder, Jonny Cruz and many others, and it wasn’t long before Maceo Plex embraced the tune and began playing his rework that opens the package here. Employing the irresistible bass line and select vocals from the original, Plex opts to up the tempo for a club-ready take embellished with analog melodies, bristling dynamics and wild modular sound design. Noah Pred follows his recent full-length with a pair of dubs: the first one repurposing Rosina’s narrative atop a hypnotic interpretation of the original groove, and his extended Sinstrumental removing the vocals and finishing off with a stripped down work-out enhanced by synthetic percussion and expansive echoes. Murr’s own Days Into Nights Edit highlights the textural elements of his creation while repurposing them atop a throbbing low-end, while Detroit duo Stone Owl return to the label with a unique deep house version driven by interlocking analog bass and introspective keys. At this point, there’s no question as to Murr and Rosina’s talent – and with remixes like these, they seem set to dive deeper than ever into the rising tide of the global deep house scene…
