With Palmfoord’s EP ‘Mitende’, Depth takes listeners on a new captivating odyssey
into both deep and percussive electronic music.
Kicking off proceedings, the title track offers a smooth and yet intense immersive
soulful journey rich in groovy personality. D-Malice take on ‘Mitende’ retains the spell of
the original while adorning its hypno-grooved impulse with inspirational climactic
breakdowns and fine-drawn melodic synth lines to cause soul meltdown and dramatic
momentum.
Following the path, ‘Almamisi’ demonstrates Palmfood’s yearning for palpitating tribal
drums peppered with jazzy piano and afro flute chords and layers of birdy-spacey
synth lines to build up both organic and cosmic soundscapes.
